WHY WATERTRONICS
Watertronics Inc. was established in 1986 with a mission to lead the industry in pump station performance and customer service. This document is a summary of Watertronics most important pump station features and the benefits they bring. We hope you find our approach to building the heart of an irrigation system exciting and informative.
WATERTRONICS PUMP STATION FEATURES
VirtualVision Touch Screen Operator Interface:
Watertronics offers the most user friendly operator interface available. The Virtual Vision Touch Screen operator interface is more intuitive than a standard interface, like using Windows® vs. DOS on your personal computer. All the pertinent information about your pump station is displayed on a full graphics screen many times larger than the others' text-only display. Monitoring alarms, changing pump sequencing, adjusting downstream pressure, changing filter flush duration, recording or resetting water usage, calibration and much more is right at the touch of your finger. Anyone can perform these easy functions, not just a technician. Once you have tried our Touch Screen operator interface, you'll be hooked on its simplicity.
Electronic Butterfly Valve (EBV) Pressure Regulation:
Watertronics perfected the application of computer controls to the motor actuated butterfly valve, creating the first EBV. Watertronics holds the patent on this unique technology. Because each pump is individually regulated, no other system can match the EBV at regulating pressure, anticipating and eliminating surges, eliminating check valve slam, preventing pump and motor overload and more.
Hydraulic pressure reducing valves cannot compare to the EBV. The EBV has a lower pressure loss, no pilot valves to plug or foul and is a lower maintenance unit. All functions you expect from VFD systems are incorporated in Watertronics exclusive EBV systems, plus many benefits you won't find elsewhere for any price.

Only Watertronics EBV pump stations offer the following features:
|
Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Control Watertronics
unique software algorithm tunes the VFD pressure characteristics to each
pump and each combination of pumps in the system. This assures near perfect
pressure regulation from no flow up to full pumping capacity. Watertronics
systems also incorporate ride-through protection to keep your system operational
following a loss of power or an alarm condition. If an alarm condition
occurs, our proprietary software takes a "snapshot" of the pump
station operating condition prior to shutdown, and then decides how best
to repressurize the piping system. Watertronics also offers our patented
EBV pressure regulation to further enhance the VFD performance on the
pumps running directly across-the-line. Should the VFD fail or go into
a fault condition, the EBV pressure regulation will take over "on
the fly" so you won't miss one minute of irrigation. |

Mechanical Seals for Vertical Turbine Pumps No more packing
to adjust, no more greasing the stuffing box, no more pump shaft vibration
as the stuffing box wears, no more water on the pump station skid or on
the pump house floor. Watertronics has developed a complete mechanical
seal assembly that replaces the standard stuffing box (patent pending).
This unique seal assembly includes a permanently lubricated and sealed
bearing that assures perfect shaft alignment. Plus, because our innovative
seal design makes installation and removal simple, it can be done in less
time than it takes to re-pack a standard pump. |

Watertronics Exclusive Wet Well / Pond Level Controls Traditional floats or probes are difficult to adjust and may provide poor repeatability in varying water quality. Watertronics rugged stainless steel wet well level transducer is unaffected by water quality and provides repeatability down to a fraction of an inch. |

Reinforced Skid Construction Most pump
station skids are constructed of diamond plate welded over an I-beam
base. Besides a crude appearance, the skids have pockets and seams that
invite corrosion. Watertronics skids are superior because they are formed
using one continuous sheet of pre-punched steel that is free of seams
or cracks. Structural steel is welded underneath to maximize strength
and our famous durable two-step finish is applied to all top and bottom
surfaces. Watertronics unique skids stay cleaner and resist corrosion
better so your pump station will keep it's new condition and appearance
years into the future. |

The Watertronics skid is reinforced underneath for added strength. Rolled edges resist corrosion better than standard skid designs and offers a more professional look.
The Best Finish Available Many manufacturers
cut costs by painting only fabricated steel components. Watertronics paints
all pump station components, in addition to all fabricated components.
For product appearance and finish, Watertronics continues to set the standard.
Both primer and finish coats are baked and cured at 165 degrees in our
computer controlled, automotive-grade paint booths, assuring the appliance-like
finish and durability that others can't match. |

Dynamic Factory Testing Every Watertronics
pump station is performance tested before it leaves the factory. Pressure,
flow, voltage, amps, power factor, and KW are automatically recorded in
small flow output increments which are printed and presented to the customer
for performance verification. Additional tests include temperature, vibration,
pump sequencing, and pressure regulation. Since all Watertronics pump
stations are "test driven" at the factory and not on the jobsite,
you are assured a pump station that will perform as specified. |
